It’s week seven! mayBe rests on week seven, so no community meal or Sunday gathering this week. We’ll put up details for the whole next cycle soon.
jouney cycle this week
This week’s Thursday community meal is in Chalgrove, at Sam, Dave and Ariane’s. We’ll be exploring Chalgrove’s own laberynth, and hearing from recently-returned community journeyers, Emma & John (back from travels in South America).
On Sunday change of plans! 10:30am, Angel & Greyhound Meadow (meet bottom of Angel & Greyhound pub car park), then café.
coming up
This Thurs (16 July) we’re meeting at Debs & Ali’s in Headington. A chance to consider mayBe’s current journey, including hearing back about the meeting with the Bishop (Weds 15th).
Sunday 19th July: 12:30 Saint Mary and John’s Church Labyrinth, Cowley Rd (opposite the Coop!)
Journeying cycle: Laberynthians
Thursday: Meeting at Jim’s in Cowley for the community meal, and thanks Sam for preparing our resource on laberynths.
Sunday Eucharist we’re joining with Home and StillPoint for their Into the Silent land eucharist (part of the StillPoint weekend with Martin Laird) in St John’s church Iffley Road (St. Steven’s House — opposite university rugby ground) at 10:30am.
Journeying cycle continues
This week we’re meeting at Cara’s to share our Thursday community meal (please let her know if you’re coming) and John Power will be leading our discussions on journeying together with and into God.
Sunday (5 June) we’re meeting at Port Meadow, 10:20 for 10:30 start, horses allowing! Hope you can all join us.
Journeys Cycle: West Papuan visitors

Ian and Gail's fairwell anointing and blessing of mayBe community members as they begin their new journey.
On Thursday we’ll be at Tracey and Rich’s house where we will begin our Journeys cycle. Benny and Maria Wenda will be visiting us to talk about West Papua. Benny and Maria left their home country to escape a brutal occupation by Indonesia and now campaign for its freedom.
On Sunday we’ll be meeting in South Park at 10:30am for our community Eucharist.
week seven / next cycle
It’s week 7 – mayBe’s rest between cycles, so no community meal this Thurs and no Eucharist on Sunday (14 June).
Then, our community life bursts back with the camping weekend away on Sat 20 June [so we're not meeting Thursday 18th either]. Call us if you want to come along, it’s going to be great fun and it will be a special [if sad] time too during which we celebrate all Ian and Gail have brought to the community, and give them a proper send-off.
News of next cycle (Journeyers and journeying) will be posted here soon.
mayBe roots cycle: CHRIST
We conclude our cycle of mayBe’s seven roots with our cornerstone: Christ.
Join us @ Rich, Tracey & Harvey’s at 7pm on Thursday for a discussion of Chris’s resource looking at Christ.
This Saturday 10am – 4pm there’s the Fresh Expressions Vision Day at The King’s Centre.
Join us at 10:20for10:30start on Sunday out-doors on the Angel and Greyhound meadow (enter behind the car park to the A&G pub on St. Clements).
mayBe roots: PLAY
This week we’re looking at why play is important part of what it is to be community in mayBe.
The community meal will be at the Yates’ in Barton, usual time of 7pm.
We’ll meet at The Mish at 10:30 for the Sunday Eucharist. The Mish is off St. Clements, call us if you’ve not been there before. This will be a children-focussed time, so do come along kids, and bring your parents!
